The Journey So Far
As a dedicated healthcare professional with a Bachelor of Science in Biology and a Master of Science in Nursing, I have devoted my career to caring for individuals in my community at a Level 1 trauma hospital. My education has equipped me with a strong foundation in the sciences, allowing me to approach patient care with both compassion and expertise. Every day I strive to make a positive impact on the lives of those I serve, ensuring they receive the highest quality of care during their most vulnerable moments.
Since 2007 I have embraced the world of running, completing four marathons and numerous other race distances from half-marathon down to 5k. This journey has not only enhanced my physical endurance but has also instilled in me a profound appreciation for the discipline and commitment that running demands. Each race has taught me valuable lessons about perseverance, resilience, and the joy of setting and achieving goals which has translated to my personal and professional life. I believe that running has the power to strengthen our relationships, enhance our health, and allow us to become a beacon of light for others in times of darkness.
My passion for running extends beyond personal achievement; I am deeply committed to expanding my knowledge base and translating scientific research into my daily running practice. By staying informed about the latest advancements in sports science, I continuously refine my techniques and strategies, ensuring that I not only improve my performance but also maintain my health and well-being.
Ultimately, my goal is to empower others to start running, enjoy the process, and remain injury-free. I believe that running can be a transformative experience, and I am eager to share my insights and experiences with others. Together, we can cultivate a community of runners who support one another in achieving their personal bests while fostering a lifelong love for the sport.
